How To Change Address Using Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal?

Allow us to show you, the right steps to get the address updated.

Step 1: Go to the official UIDAI site and click on the SSUP.

Step 2: Now, you have two options, and I will provide the information below. Click on “Update Address” if you have supporting documents. Yes, you need to provide a digital printed or scanned document like electricity bill, water bill or a bill that has your current address.

Step 3: Enter the Aadhaar number, complete the security verification, send OTP (you will receive a code on the registered mobile number) and then enter the OTP.

Step 4: Upload the scanned or digitally printed documents.

Example: Bank statement, Electricity bill, Water bill, Telephone bill, and others. You can contact customer care so that you can get more information. Remember, the rejections caused by the invalid documents.

Step 5: Select the BPO service provider, and then click on submit.

You will receive a confirmation message on your registered phone with an email.

It typically takes around two days for the application review, and then the process either gets rejected or continues.

Requirements:

  1. Make sure that you live in the provided address in the application.
  2. You have to enter the received PIN within a day of validation letter delivery.

Remember, don’t try to fool the UIDAI in any manner or your application will get rejected.

Step 1: Follow the step one and step two from the first method. Click on the “Request For Address Validation Letter” and the next page loads.

Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar card number, and then enter the security verification code. Send an OTP to the registered mobile number to confirm the changes and then click on enter OTP.

Step 3: Now, select “address via PIN” and then enter the new address.

Step 4: Hit on entering to apply.

A letter will be sent to the provided address within a few days, and you have to enter the PIN after you receive an email or message to the registered address.
